Azalea - not really a fast grower, is it?

Upside-down cherry tomato plant

The tomato is flourishing with its weekly dose of Miracle Grow
I counted approx 12 - 14 flowers on it!

Crape Myrtles

This crape myrtle is a mess.  I believe it is 2 crape myrtles
planted together and prune very poorly.  It looks nothing like
the other 2, which are growing like trees.

See?  No stump.  How the heck to prune this?!
I think the only solution is to let the tree mature and start to
grow into its proper form.

Nice crape myrtle :)

Plumbago

They are starting to get bushy around the tree

And they are blooming!

Waiting for the other side of the tree to fill in.
I can't plant any more here due to big roots in the way.

Morning glories

I helped them climb by wrapping them around sticks

And by using a little fence
Gladiolus bulbs on each side, coming up
from last season

Close up of gladiolus bulb sprout
Weird that it is purple at the base!

First ripe tomato

It's time!  We are going to pick "Christmas tomato".

My bf and I split it.  It tasted pretty good.  It was not very sweet, nor very acidic - right in the middle.

Corn?

Apparently a squirrel planted a corn kernel from the bird feeder and I now have a stalk of corn in my backyard!  Hilarious!

Look how big it is.  12" +
